Air Quaility

You only have one body, and you need to protect your body from harmful particles.
air quality

There are many ways to improve the indoor air quality of your home. One of the best ways to improve your air quality is by installing a humidifier to your home's central air system. Humidifiers are simply products that humidify the air in your home or business so that occupants are more comfortable. In the winter months, your home can get dryer than the Sahara Desert. The Sahara Desert's relative humidity is around 25% and during the winter months, a heated home can have humidity level as low as 13%!

Mamy benefits to having a humidifier installed:
  • More comfortable during the winter months.
  • Pathogens carrying the flu virus can circulate easier in drier air than moist air.
  • Improves breathing during sickness and cold season
  • Lengthens the life of sensitive wood instruments such as violins, pianos, and guitars.
  • Helps with dry skin and irritation.

Humidifiers are easy for our HVAC team members to install and you'll feel the benefits of this product right away! Call us today to buy a humidifier or to schedule a day for our HVAC techs to install or repair your home's humidifier.

If you are unsure of what humidifier to buy for your home, there are a few different options to think about. There are steam humidifiers and bypass humidifiers. We suggestion you take a look at Honeywell Humidifiers to get a better idea on which humidifier you'd like for your home or call us today to help you with your decision making process.

Energy Recovery Ventilation

Energy recovery ventilation systems ventilate a home in a controlled way while minimizing energy loss. Heating costs in the winter are reduced by transferring heat from the warm inside air being exhausted to the fresh (but cold) supply air. In the summer, the inside air cools the warmer supply air to reduce ventilation cooling costs.

In the winter, this unit brings in humidity to the home making it much more comfortable. In the summer, an ERV unit removes humidity from the house, thus making your home feel much cooler at a higher set temperature and ultimately saving you money and energy!

There are many ERV units on the market today but we recommend the LifeBreathe ERV and HRV units. If you're interested in purchasing an ERV but not sure what kind of ERV you need for you home, give us a call and we'll set you up with the right unit for your home. Feel free to visit the LifeBreathe website for more information.

Central Air Filters

Lets talk about air filters and why its important to not cheap out on your system's air filter. Air filters just like water filters, trap harmful particles and pathogens from circulating through your home's air system. A low end, disposable filter filters particles but it lets over 60% of those particles through and back into your home. If anyone in your home suffers from allergies, its important to purchase a filter that will capture as many particles and pathogens as possible for as long as possible.

There are a few things that you can afford go the cheaper route with your central air system, but an air filter isn't one of them. You only have one body, and you need to protect your body from harmful particles. That's why we recommend the TRION Air Bear air filters.

Air Bear filters have the ability to trap particles as small as one micron. Not only does the Air Bear filter trap the tiniest of particles, it also retains these particles so they aren't released into your system. Call or email us if you would like more information on indoor air quality or you may visit the Trion Air Bear website.
